Young women in our community struggle with emotional challenges- from anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem, to self-harm, suicidal thoughts, and even trauma from previous experiences. But, they rarely have opportunities to discuss these issues with knowledgeable adults, nor do they receive applicable information about what to do when they are experiencing emotions that challenge their state of mental health. During the strange time of COVID-19 and quarantine our young ladies need support more than ever.
We are looking for guest speakers with experiences and great approaches to dealing with mental health. We are looking for guest speakers who can tell and show our young women how to get help and the importance of therapy.
We would like for the speakers to provide the girls with "action steps" that they can use/apply to their own life or reference if they are trying to help a relative or friend!
